Maximizing
Business Results Coaching is a structured process about
setting and achieving aggressive business goals. It’s not
about the company’s strategic, marketing or operational plans,
it’s your plan to reach your peak performance.
Entrepreneurs often seek support from a coach
to help them:
- Refine their vision
- Focus their energy on measurable activities that will result
in the greatest impact in the shortest time frame
- Manage change not “react” to it
- Talk through a strategy in a confidential environment
- Move from a position of technical expertise to managing and
leading a company
Managers use business coaches to support them
in their efforts to:
- Improve teamwork
- Facilitate honest internal communications
- Align goals and increase productivity & profitability
- Manage change or conflict
- Focus their own activities
- Develop and retain talent
- Position themselves for upward mobility
Executives have a need for a coaching relationship
focused on the ability to:
- Lead as opposed to manage
- Receive honest, objective feedback
- Clarify where the title ends and the person begins
- Develop new skills set as an executive
- Build collaborative, productive work team
- Arrive at a balance between personal and professional life
- Refine and express the corporate vision to inspire employees
- Lead the company through turbulence
How Would We Work Together?
1. The starting point is defining your business issue or challenge.
2. Next we explore the possibilities and you envision what would
be the best outcome or result. I will ask you questions designed
to help you gain deeper insight into yourself and your approach
to business.
3. We discuss the range of activities you identify that may be
needed to meet your goals and review them for feasibility. I will
help you to avoid the nonproductive “if only…”
4. We identify any barriers or boundaries that could get in your
way and you consciously plan to manage or overcome those issues.
I provide you with support and insight throughout the process.
5. You identify and commit to the actions you will take within
a specific time frame and I hold you accountable for these actions.
Part of my role is to challenge you, help you maintain momentum
and acknowledge your success.
In business coaching there are many tools and techniques that can
be employed - assessments, shadowing, training, and team building
to name a few. The basic approach is one-on-one coaching. To give
you the most flexibility, most coaching is telephonic. Long-term
contracts involving several parts of your business may involve face-to-face
coaching supplemented by phone coaching.
