Fulfilling a Dream, Reaching a Goal, Rediscovering Yourself

Life coaching is a process through which I help you gain clarity on the issues which are most important to you and help you move ahead much more quickly than you might do otherwise. This involves asking you tough questions, inviting you to think about things in a different way and discover new possibilities, and challenging you to set and meet stretch goals.

Why is coaching different than “talking it out” with a friend? You are the focus of the entire conversation. It’s never about me, it’s only about you. Your issues are the focus of every conversation. I listen and respond to you objectively – I have no agenda, no vested interest in “how it comes out” other than helping you reach the outcome that’s right for you. Often unintentionally, friends and family always have an agenda – what they think “you should do.”

It is my responsibility to create a safe, supportive environment in which you can explore “you”, look at new possibilities and take some risks. I will listen to what you say, as well as listen for what you “don’t” say and help you recognize subtle but powerful influences that lead you to think the way you do and act, or not act.

Life coaching is about moving you forward, not looking back. The past is just that, and while past behaviors may give us some insight into current behaviors or opinions, it is not the focus of our work together. We will spend our time setting goals that help move you closer to your goal or dream by building on your strengths and discovering insights that lead you into new territory.

Through coaching, you will think bigger, set your goals higher, and have more awareness of and confidence in what you can achieve.

How Would We Work Together?
Our working arrangement will be based on your schedule and my availability. While a 45 minute phone call, three times a month with intermittent brief chats or e-mail support is standard, we will design a plan that meets your time frame and budget. (Group coaching also is available.)
